Green-Blue Aquamarine, Raw Natural Heart-Shaped Crystal, 414 carats, Rare Rough Beryl from Oregon, SKU#072

Image
Oregon Teal-Green-Blue Aquamarine Beryl with Natural Heart-Shape, 414.30 carats,  I collected this in a volcanic mudflat In North Bend, Oregon where red-orange clay  wells up out of dark, sticky mud containing BERYLLIUM and trace minerals CHROMIUM  and/or VANADIUM (those 2 minerals make the emeralds green here) as well as IRON, which colors Aquamarine blue and gives Heliodor, a.k.a. Golden Beryl, its' yellow coloring. The teal-green-blue color with banding is very typical of our local Aquamarine Beryl, which is in Nodular Form rather then Prismatic Form. This one features a heart-shaped striation pattern, and you can really see the perpendicular axis on this beautiful, one-of-a-kind nodular Aquamarine Beryl crystal.  $40 plus shipping $4 domestic USPS. Yes, Oregon Has Cancrinite!

Image
Oregon Cancrinite Oregon Cancrinite Crystal Upper Center, Featuring the typical "woody" luster I find in  some occurrences of Oregon Cancrinite.   This crystal displays a yellowish gemmy  Cancrinite center revealed by the beach sand, over time.. Cancrinite is a Zeolite. It is often striated.  It is VOLCANIC, and typically found with other volcanic phyllite (layered) minerals such as Apophyllite and Fluorapophyllite.  All three minerals are plentiful on the Southern Oregon Coast in mostly prismatic forms as opposed to massive in the  crystallography, even the Cancrinite, of which I find large, colorful,  prismatic hexagonal crystals with an oxidized outer coating that is  often purplish-pinkish in color, with a woody or pocked, or warped outer texture that does not match the internal luster of the stones.  Prismatic Cancrinite is considered very rare, and the colors are amazing. But they usually just look like  rocks so look for the ...
